Cascading: Do you need a cascade of safety light curtains to protect from reaching over, reaching under

or standing behind the primary safety light curtain? 

You can use cascading to connect up to 3 safety light curtain systems consisting of senders and receivers, e.g.

to provide reliable presence detection.

Scanning range: Which protective field width or scanning range is required in the application? 

The protective field width is the dimension of the light path between sender and receiver. The maximum

protective field width is limited by the scanning range. Depending on the type of safety light curtain,

the available protective field widths are in the range of 0 m to 30 m.

 

Dynamic protective field width: Do the sender and receiver move toward or away from each other in normal

operation of the application?Can the protective field width change during normal operation?

The deTec safety light curtains automatically measure the protective field width when starting. The width is then

defined during operation.
